To the Mother of Our Home

Liam, Kailey, Madison and Dad wanted to take some time to acknowledge the #1 mom in our lives. We know it is just one day of the year that is the official celebration but we hope our mom knows each day how grateful we are for her. We really are nothing without her and can’t thank her enough for the blessing she is in our lives.

Liam wants mom to know how grateful he is by letting her know that he is thankful that she wakes him up every morning (no one else can do it like mom), for carrying him up stairs because he isn’t quite awake yet, for all the time she puts into the food menu each day, for the rides to school, for being there when he gets off the bus (no one else can do it like mom), for introducing him to Star Wars which as brought out talents he has never known he had of building “creations” for mom, especially for reading the scriptures and books and putting him to bed every night (no one else can do it like mom), for tickling his back to put him to sleep, and most importantly her great love she gives each day with a great smile, kiss and a huge. Thanks Mom. I love you! I like you! XO

Kailey wants mom to know how grateful she is by letting her know that she is thankful that mom puts so much effort each day to making sure my food is gluten free which includes a long menu of food for me each day to choose from and “sweet sugar”, for taking her to school each day, for helping her learn how to dance and sing different primary and nursery songs, for curling her hair each day so she can look cute for all the parents (no one else can do it like mom), for teaching her how to shoot the basketball and hit the baseball, for reading her books and the scriptures in bed while tickling her hand, for coming to her in the middle of the night (sometimes a couple) when she is sick to make sure she gets enough to eat so she can get better or when she is upset you will lay down with her to help her feel better and fall back to sleep and for taking such great care of her…she really does love coming home it feels so good being home (no one else can make it feel that way like mom can). Kailey is so grateful for mama and she hopes you know that, “I love you!”

Madison wants mom to know that she is grateful too for all the love she feels from mom each day, especially taking care of her through out the night when she wakes up crying for what ever reason it my be, for helping me learn how to walk, for letting her run her hands through moms hair which makes Madison feel really calm after she got upset, for teaching her how to sign a song with her hands, for playing peek-a-boo with her to make her laugh really hard, for gently helping her along each day learning something new, for taking her shopping all the time and showing her all the fun things in the backyard. Madison is very grateful for mom and would be lost without her. No one else can make Maddie happy like mom does and if she could say it clearly she would love her mom to know, “I love you!”

Dad hopes that mom knows how special she is to us individually and as a family, that even though it is “Mother’s Day” today that every day she feels appreciated in some way. I am grateful you are the mother of our children and I am amazed at what you do for us each day. You really put a lot of effort to make things feel right and go well for all of us. The kids really do love their mom and you know that especially when you hear that great giant scream, “MOOOOMMMMMMM”. You are a beautiful/wonderful woman, a great example to us, my best friend and most importantly my wife and the mother of our home. You are doing a BRILLANT job.
